Dr.Andria Orlowski N.M.D
Growing up in Connecticut,
Andria Orlowski had an interest in healing but very little interest in
conventional medicine. Her interests included: parapsychology, shamanism,
art, science, religion and ancient history. At 16, she graduated early
from high school and spent an eye opening year abroad studying art in Chile.
Her first degree was a BA in psychology with a minor in Spanish. She spent
a few years married, working at a psychiatric hospital, riding horses and
continuing her education. Shortly after her divorce, Andria found herself
suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome. Disappointed that she could not
will the condition away, she searched for alternatives including nutrition,
herbs, homeopathy and Chinese Medicine. She traveled to Southeast Asia
and South America in search of alternative modalities. Her health improved
with the use of certain rainforest plants and lifestyle changes. Andria's
goal then became to preserve the rainforest. She wished to study plant
medicines with shamen in order to preserve their knowledge before it was
lost. With this goal in mind, Andria continued to take science classes
and studied massage therapy and bodywork techniques including acupressure
and cranial sacral therapy. Andria then moved to Arizona to study Naturopathic
Medicine and Acupuncture. In 1995 she met her future husband, Jorge a Peruvian
native, on a trip to the Amazon to study medicinal plants with a native
shamen. They were married in 1997, just shortly before her graduation from
the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine with a doctorate degree.
In 1998, Andria also completed her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Traditional
Chinese Medicine.
Working closely within the
philosophy of naturopathic medicine, Dr. Orlowski combines her knowledge
with intuition and energetic feedback techniques to help her patients heal
holistically. Very often, Dr Orlowski attracts clients that continue to
have continuing health problems after exhausting conventional and other
alternative therapies. Dr. Orlowski has a high success rate with her patients
in bringing them back to good health. Her goal as a practioner is to help
her patients achieve optimal health and balance in their life on all levels
so that they can actualize their higher visions and goals without physical
or emotional hindrance. Dr. Orlowski's success revolves around her ability
to look at her patients holistically and from a variety of healing perspectives.
She combines modalities in innovative ways to maximize their effects and
works closely with and refers to other types of practitioners as needed
to help her patients meet their needs. Constantly fighting to maintain
balance in her own life, Dr. Orlowski is currently writting on a book about
stress and reducing stress.
